University of Horticultural Sciences - Bagalkot

The University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot is a state horticultural university at Udyanagiri, Navanagar in Bagalkot, Karnataka. It came into existence through a Special Ordinance issued by the Governor of Karnataka, No. 2 of 2008, on 22 November 2008, and was enacted by Karnataka Act No. 11 of 2010. It is the first horticulture university in the state and the third in the country. It runs ten colleges, four diploma courses in horticulture, research stations, horticultural extension education units and a Krishi Vigyan Kendra across the agro-climatic zones of Karnataka.
