About JEE Main 2023:

JEE Main 2023 is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) every year. The conducting body has announced the phase 1 and phase 2 exam dates. Phase 1 of the exam was conducted from 24 January to 1 February 2023. The results of the same were released on the official website on 28 February 2023. The application form for the April session was made available on the website on 14 February. The last date for registration is 12 March 2023. No JEE Main 2023 applications will be accepted after 12 March so the students who are planning to appear for the April session of the exam can register themselves now on the website ie jeemain.nta.nic.in.

What is the JEE Main 2023 exam pattern?

• Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will be asked in paper 1 and paper 2 of the exam. Drawing is a subjective type of paper.
• The questions in both papers will be asked from below-mentioned subjects.
  
  • Paper-I: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics

• The total duration of the exam is 180 minutes.
• For every correct answer, 4 marks will be given while one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. For drawing, two questions will be asked for 100 marks.
• The JEE Main 2023 exam can be given in 13 different languages, including English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Punjabi, Telugu, Tamil, Odiya, and Urdu.

What is the eligibility required for JEE Main 2023 exam?

The eligibility criteria for the exam are provided below for the candidates.

• There is no age limit specified by the NTA however it is important to note that the majority of the participating colleges, such as the IITs, NITs, GFTIs, etc. have prescribed age limits.
• The student should have qualified for his/her 10+2 or any other equivalent examination in the year 2021 or 2022 or if he/she is appearing for the exam in 2023, can also apply for the entrance examination.
• The student can appear 6 times for the entrance exam for 3 consecutive years after clearing his/her class 12th exam.

B.Tech/B.E.- Physics, and mathematics as mandatory subjects along with one of the subjects such as chemistry/biology/biotechnology/technical vocational subjects.

Provisions for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) students:

• The student must specify the type and percentage of their disability accurately in the online form for JEE Main 2023.
• The student who has a disability that exceeds the 39% mark has the discretion of opting for a scribe or a reader. He/she can submit the request to the centre superintendent for the same.
• Once the request is made, the centre superintendent will identify the scribe/reader. The student would be permitted to meet the scribe one day prior to the JEE Main 2023 examination, to verify the scribe's suitability.

What is the syllabus of JEE Main 2023 exam?

1) JEE Main 2023 Syllabus for Mathematics: Sequence and Series, Matrices and Determinants, Differential Equations, Sets, Relations and Functions, Complex Numbers and Quadratic Equations, Permutations and Combinations, Mathematical Induction, Binomial Theorem and its simple applications, Limit, Continuity and Differentiability, Integral Calculus, Differential Equations, Coordinate Geometry, Three-Dimensional Geometry, Vector Algebra, Statistics and Probability, Trigonometry, Mathematical Reasoning.

2) JEE Main 2023 Physics Syllabus: Physics and Measurement, Thermodynamics, Rotational Motion, Laws of Motion, Electronic Devices, Oscillations and Waves, Current Electricity, Electromagnetic Induction, and Alternating Currents, Optics, Electrostatics, Kinematics, Work, Energy and Power, Gravitation, Properties of Solids and Liquids, Kinetic Theory of Gases, etc.

3) JEE Main 2023 Syllabus Chemistry:

• Physical Chemistry: Core and Basic concepts in Chemistry, Atomic Structure, Chemical Thermodynamics, Equilibrium, Chemical Kinetics, States of Matter, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, etc.
• Organic Chemistry: Purification and characterization of Organic compounds, Chemistry in everyday life, Organic Compounds containing Halogens, Organic Compounds containing Nitrogen, Some basic principles of Organic Chemistry, etc.
• Inorganic Chemistry: Classification of elements and periodicity in properties, Block elements (alkali and alkaline earth metals), D and F block elements, Environmental Chemistry, Hydrogen, Block Elements - group 13 to group 18 elements, etc.

4) JEE Main 2023 Syllabus Aptitude: Awareness of places, persons, buildings, and materials; texture and objects related to Architecture; visualizing 3D objects from 2D drawings; visualizing different sides of 3D objects; mental ability; analytical reasoning; colour texture, contrast, and harmony; building forms and elements; 3D-perception, and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects.

5) JEE Main 2023 Syllabus for Drawing: Drawing and designing of geometrical or abstract shapes & patterns in pencil, Transformation of forms in both 2D and 3D union, Elevation and 3D views of objects rotation, Development of Surfaces and Volumes, Generation of Plan, Creating 2D & 3D compositions using given shapes and forms, and Sketching of activities of urban scenes from memory.
