What is the NEET 2023 examination?

The full form of the NEET examination is the National Eligibility Entrance Test. NEET exam is a national-level medical entrance examination. This exam is conducted every year by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Through this examination, the students get admissions into various MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, BVSc, AH courses etc. The NEET exam is conducted in pen and paper-based mode. To sit for the NEET exam, the student should have qualified for his/her class 12th or its equivalent examination with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology) subjects from a recognised board/institute. Through the NEET exam, around 99313 MBBS, 27868 BDS, 52720 AYUSH, 525 BVSc and AH seats are filled.

What is the NEET 2023 Exam pattern?

NTA decides the exam pattern of the paper. The exam pattern is released on the official website. The students who are wishing to sit for this year's NEET exam should first check the exam pattern and syllabus before preparing for it as it will give them a better understanding of the paper. 

As per the latest NEET 2023 exam pattern, 200 questions will be asked in the paper out of which the student will need to answer only 180. The questions will be asked from three major subjects which are physics, chemistry and biology. Every subject will have two sections- Section A and B. Section A will have 35 questions while Section B will have 15 questions. Out of these 15 questions, students can answer any 10, which makes it 180 questions. What is the eligibility required for the NEET 2023 exam?

The eligibility criteria is one of the most important part of any examination. The aspirants who are planning to register themselves for the examination should first check the eligibility criteria of the examination. To participate in the exam, the student will have to fulfil all the requirements of the examination. The students can check the below-mentioned eligibility criteria for the NEET 2023 examination.

• The student must have attained the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will attain the same by December 31, 2023. Accordingly, the minimum date of birth of aspirants should be December 31, 2006.
• Indian nationals/ NRIs/PIO/foreign nationals/overseas citizens of India (OCIs) are allowed to sit for the NEET 2023 examination.
• The student should have qualified for his/her class 12th examination or its equivalent from a recognised board/institute with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.
• The students who are appearing in their class 12th or its equivalent in 2023 are also eligible for the exam. 
• The student should have secured a minimum of 50 % marks in his class 12th or its equivalent if he/she belongs to the General category.
• If the student belongs to the PWD category, he/she should have secured a minimum of 45 % marks.
• If the student is from SC/ST/OBC category, the student should have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination.

NEET 2023 exam results:

The NEET 2023 exam results will be released online on the official website of the exam. The student will get his/her scorecard on the registered email id. Usually, the result is released within 45 days of conducting the exam. The NEET 2023 result scorecard/rank card is required for admissions so the students must download and keep a copy.  

How to download the NEET 2023 results?

The students can follow the below-mentioned steps while downloading the results of the NEET 2023 exam.

• Click on the link given on neet.nta.nic.in 
• Enter the NEET Roll Number (as given on admit card) and date of birth in dd/mm/yyyy format
• The NEET 2023 scorecard will be shown on the screen.
• Download the same and check the details for accuracy.

Details mentioned on the NEET 2023 scorecard:

• Student's personal information like student's roll number, application number, name, mother’s name and father’s name etc. 
• Marks obtained by the student in total
• Subject-wise and the overall percentile score 
• All India Rank 
• Cutoff percentile score and marks (lowest and highest) for each category
• Details of the total number of candidates who appeared and qualified

The counselling process for the NEET exam is conducted online by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats. For the 85 per cent State Quota seats, the counselling is done by the  State Authorities. To participate in the counselling process, the students will have to register themselves on the official website and lock in their preferred seat choices. The counselling process is divided into 4 rounds but this number can increase or decrease based on the seat vacancy.

How to register for NEET 2023 examination?

The application form for NEET 2023 has been released on the official website of the exam on 6 March 2023. From there, the students can fill out their NEET 2023 form. The student will have to fill out the form before 6 April 2023. Once the registration process is over, the authority will release the correction window for those students who will successfully register for the examination. Through the correction window, the student can make the necessary changes in the specified fields.

The steps required during NEET 2023 registration process are given below.

• First, go to the NEET 2023 official website - www.neet.nta.nic.in
• Now click on the application form tab.
• In this step, the students will register themselves on the website. Once the registration is done, the student will get the application number and password on the registered email id or mobile number. 
• Now the student will log in with his/her login credentials on the website and fill the form with personal and educational details, exam medium and exam city preference and photograph and signature upload
• In this step, the student will pay the application fee in online mode through credit/debit card, net banking, Paytm and UPI.
• After all the steps are done, the student will submit the form and save a copy of it for future use.

How to download the NEET 2023 Admit card?

The admit card for the exam is released on the official website. It is generally released a week prior to the exam. Admit card is one of the most important documents required on exam day. Without the admit card, the student will not be allowed to enter the exam centre. The students can follow the below-mentioned steps to download the admit card from the website.

• Go to the NEET 2023 website – neet.nta.nic.in 
• Click on the NEET 2023 admit card button.
• Now fill out a self-declaration form and click on the NEET 2023 Admit card download button.
• Now the student will log in with his login credentials.
• Lastly, the student will download the NEET 2023 admit card and take multiple printouts of the admit card for future use.
