The National Board of Examinations (NBE) conducts the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Super Specialty also known as NEET SS for admission to 2,447 Doctorate of Medicine (DM) and Master of Chirurgie (MCh) seats in 156 institutes across India. 

The hall tickets for the NEET SS 2023 will be available on the official website nbe.edu.in. The authorities release the NEET SS 2023 admit card, only for the registered candidates. The admit card must be carried by each candidate at the NEET SS 2023 exam centre on the day of the exam. The total number of questions is 100 in the exam. These are multiple-choice questions.

NEET SS paper pattern

It is mandatory for candidates to fulfil the eligibility criteria of NEET SS 2023 to appear for the entrance exam. The following are the NEET SS eligibility criteria for 2023 which can be checked below.

• For appearing in NEET SS, aspirants require to hold a postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) or any equivalent examination.
• Aspirants who complete their Postgraduate degree on or before November 30, 2021, are eligible to apply for NEET SS 2023. Candidates without the degree will not be allowed to fill out the application form.
• Applicants must have a provisional or permanent registration certificate issued by the State Medical Council (SMC) or Medical Council of India (MCI), which they must also furnish at the time of examination.

NEET SS eligibility criteria for foreign nationals:

Foreign nationals who wish to take the NEET SS examination for admission to a particular speciality can fulfil certain eligibility criteria:

• MCI registration certificate is not required by the Non-Resident Indians to appear for NEET SS but they need to be registered with the respective medical authority of their country.
• Temporary registration will be provided to such candidates till the duration of the postdoctoral degree after qualifying for the exam.
• This registration will be limited to the college/institution to which anyone gets admission into.

Result

After the exam, NBE will announce the NEET SS 2023 result for all 32 specialities in online mode. Candidates who will successfully appear for the entrance exam will be able to download NEET SS 2021 results online mode. It is important for aspirants to secure the prescribed NEET SS criteria set by NBE. NEET SS 2023 result includes the roll number of candidates, marks obtained out of 400 and NEET SS rank secured in the entrance exam. NEET SS result in PDF must be saved for future reference. The result of NEET SS 2023 will be valid for the particular year of admission. 

Counselling

The counselling of NEET SS 2023 is conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for admission to 2447 DM and MCh seats. A total of two rounds will be conducted wherein, candidates will be required to register for each round separately. After the NEET SS counselling registration process for each round, aspirants will need to provide their preferences of colleges as well as specializations into which they wish to take admitted. On the basis of these preferences, NEET SS rank, seat availability, reservation criteria and other factors, the seat allotment of NEET SS 2023 will be done. 

Once the seats will be allotted, shortlisted candidates will need to report at the respective college for completion of the admission process and document verification. Before reporting at the colleges, aspirants will need to download the NEET SS allotment letter indicating the personal details, category rank, date and time to report at the colleges. In case, if the candidate is not satisfied with the allotted college, he/she can opt for an option for withdrawal/refusal and can appear for NEET SS counselling subsequent rounds.

Step 1 - NEET SS registration 

In this step, aspirants need to register themselves by visiting the official website. Then, click on the new registration tab and enter your personal, contact details as well as the captcha code. Verify the details mentioned in the NEET SS application form and submit it. A confirmation message will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID mentioning the user ID and password.

Step 2 - Filling NEET SS 2023 application form
