About NEET MDS 2023:
The full form of the NEET MDS exam is the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Master of Dental Surgery. Through this exam, students get admission to around 6228 Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) seats in 259 dental colleges across India.
NBEMS has released the exam date for NEET MDS 2023 which is March 1, 2023. The NEET MDS 2023 application form was released on January 9, 2023. The last date to make corrections in the application form was 17 February 2023. Students who will successfully register themselves for the exam will be given admit cards online. Along with the admit card, students need to bring NEET MDS 2023 hall ticket to appear for the exam. The hall tickets will be available on the official website of the exam.
Exam Pattern
NEET MDS 2023 exam pattern:
NEET MDS exam is a computer-based exam in which 240 multiple-choice questions are asked. The total marks for the exam are 960 marks. The duration of the exam is 3 hours. NEET MDS exam is conducted annually for students who want to get into various dental surgery colleges. The medium of the exam is English. For every correct answer, the students get four marks while for every wrong answer, one mark is deducted.
Eligibilty
NEET MDS 2023 Eligibility criteria:
NBE has set eligibility criteria for the NEET MDS exam. The students who wish to apply for NEET MDS 2023 should first read and understand the criteria set by NBE as failing to fulfil the criteria of the exam can cause cancellation of the candidate's application form and then he/she will not be allowed to sit for the exam. The eligibility criteria for NEET MDS 2023, as per MDS Course Regulations 2017 notified by the Dental Council of India with prior approval of MoHFW are as follows :
- The student should not be younger than 20 years of age.
- The student should have a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from a University/Institute recognised by the DCI
- The student should be registered with the Dental Council of India (DCI) or State Dental Council (SDC) (permanent/provisional).
- The candidate should have completed his/her 12 months of compulsory rotatory internship on or before March 31, 2023.
Exam Syllabus
NEET MDS 2023 syllabus:
NEET MDS 2023 question paper is divided into two parts, A & B. Part A comprises 100 marks while part B has 140 marks questions. Aspirants who want to sit for the exam are advised to look at the syllabus of the exam before preparing for the same. The syllabus of NEET MDS is mentioned below.

Result & Counselling
NEET MDS Result
NEET MDS result 2023 will be announced for those who will successfully appear in the entrance examination on the exam day. The scorecard will have all the important details of the student including the roll number of the candidate, the score obtained out of 960, and the NEET MDS overall rank. The cut-off is also released with the result. The result is provided online in PDF format. The scorecard can be downloaded from the official website of the exam.
NEET MDS Counselling
MCC conducts the NEET MDS counselling for 50% All India Quota seats, deemed/central university seats, ESIC and AFMC seats. After the results are announced, students who want to participate in the NEET MDS 2023 counselling, will have to register themselves on the official website of MCC. They will have to fill in the choice of colleges and courses as well. The counselling process is then divided into three rounds including the mop-up round for admission into Masters of Dental Surgery courses. MCC releases the seat allotment list for NEET MDS counselling 2023 on the basis of the marks and ranks of the applicants, choice filling, seat availability, and other criteria. Selected candidates will then have to report to the allotted institute for confirmation of admission.
Registration & Application Process
NEET MDS 2023 Registration and admission process:
The first step of the admission process for NEET MDS 2023 is the student's registration for the examination. Students who want to sit for the exam should first register themselves on the official website of NBE. After the registration process is completed, candidates can fill the NEET MDS application form from the website. Here are all the necessary steps of admission process of NEET MDS 2023 exam. - First register on the official website to generate a User ID and Password.
- Now login into your account and fill out the application form from the same website.
- Then upload your photograph and signature.
- Pay the application fees.
- Lastly, take a printout of the filled application form with the transaction ID printed on it for future use.
NBE opens the edit window to change certain details in the application form for NEET MDS. Those who submit the applications for NEET MDS 2023 within the given deadline will be allowed to avail of the facility to correct details.
