Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences is a state university and super-specialty hospital at Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, set up to provide advanced medical care at nominal cost to poor patients. Its clinical work is paid for largely by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams grants, Pranadana Trust funds and state health schemes. It teaches MBBS, MD, MS, DM and MCh, and runs a College of Nursing, a College of Physiotherapy and allied health sciences training. Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women was established under it in 2014.
