Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education is a deemed-to-be university at Tumkur, established by a Government of India notification dated 30 May 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. Sri Siddhartha Medical College and Sri Siddhartha Dental College have functioned as its constituent colleges since 1 June 2008, and Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology at Maralur, Tumkur was included as an off-campus constituent teaching unit with effect from 6 March 2009.
