RKDF University is a private university at Gandhi Nagar in Bhopal, set up by the Ayushmati Education and Social Society through an act of the Madhya Pradesh government published in the state gazette on 19 July 2011. The Department of Higher Education approved its statutes and ordinances on 4 May 2012 and teaching began with the 2012-13 session. The campus near Bhopal airport covers 107 acres, and the university keeps a central library alongside libraries at its 19 institutes.
