Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya is the state technological university of Madhya Pradesh, established in 1998 by Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Act 13 of 1998. It sits on a campus of about 247 acres on Airport Road in Bhopal. Besides the colleges it oversees, it runs its own teaching departments, among them the University Institute of Technology, the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the School of Information Technology, the School of Energy and Environment Management, the School of Bio-Molecular Engineering and Biotechnology, and the School of Nanotechnology.
