PES University is a state private university in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The People's Education Society behind it was founded in 1972 and has taught science, medicine, engineering and management since then. The university itself grew out of PES Institute of Technology under the PES University Act, 2012, published as Karnataka Act 16 of 2013 and notified by the state government in November 2013. It occupies the former PESIT campus of about 25 acres on 100 Feet Ring Road, BSK III Stage.
