NRI Medical College is the medical college of the NRI Academy of Sciences at Chinna Kakani, between Guntur and Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh. A group of non-resident Telugu physicians from the coastal districts of the state bought 50 acres there and built a general hospital and the college on it, after the Government of Andhra Pradesh decided to grant an essentiality certificate for at least one medical college in each district. Its stated aims are to educate physicians and medical scientists, discover medical knowledge and provide health care in academic settings at an affordable cost.
