Maharashtra University of Health Sciences was established by the Government of Maharashtra on 3 June 1998 under the MUHS Act, 1998, to bring health science education across the state under one framework. Originally housed at Gangapur Road, Nashik, it moved to its purpose-built campus at Mhasrul, Dindori Road, Nashik, in 2004. It functions as a teaching and affiliating university across modern medicine and Indian systems of medicine.
