Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University was established in 1978 by the Government of Gujarat and is named after Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji, the last ruler of the princely state of Bhavnagar. Its campus spans about 269 acres across three locations and includes 20 postgraduate departments and 4 recognised institutes, teaching science, arts, commerce, engineering, medicine, management, rural studies and law.
