Jiwaji University in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, came into existence on 23 May 1964 through M.P. Government Ordinance No. 15 of 1963. Dr.
Jiwaji University in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, came into existence on 23 May 1964 through M.P. Government Ordinance No. 15 of 1963. Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, then President of India, laid its foundation stone on 11 December 1964 at a 225-acre campus at Naulakha Parade Ground, Gwalior. It today has around 420 affiliated colleges offering undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes.
