IIT Dharwad is a public technical institute at Chikkamalligawad, Dharwad, Karnataka, one of the third-generation IITs started by the Ministry of Education in August 2016 under the mentorship of IIT Bombay. Its academic journey began in AY 2016-17 with B.Tech programmes in Mechanical, Electrical and Computer Science Engineering, and it now also offers other B.Tech branches, a BS-MS programme, M.Tech, MS and PhD programmes.
