Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science began in 1985, founded with the vision of Dr K.C.G. Verghese.
Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science began in 1985, founded with the vision of Dr K.C.G. Verghese. It was recognised as a Deemed-to-be University by the UGC in 2008, and given Category-II status by the MHRD, granting it academic autonomy. Based on Rajiv Gandhi Salai (OMR) at Padur, Kelambakkam, Chennai, it offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, research and doctoral programmes in engineering, technology, architecture, management, law, fashion design, aviation, applied sciences and arts.
