Government Medical College - Amritsar

Government Medical College, Amritsar, Punjab, commonly known as GMC-Amritsar, is a prestigious medical institution in Punjab, established before independence in 1943, and is run and managed by the Government of Punjab, the college traced its foundation as a Medical School in Lahore in 1864, the school was upgraded to the status of Medical College in 1943. It was later relocated to Amritsar in 1920. Government Medical College, Amritsar is a Government Medical College affiliated with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, Punjab.
