Coimbatore Medical College is a government medical college on Avinashi Road in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, about two kilometres from Coimbatore International Airport. It was started in 1966 after G. D. Naidu, a scientist from an industrial family of the city, donated 153 acres of land to the Tamil Nadu state government. It teaches MBBS, MD, MS, DM, M.Ch and paramedical courses across 30 departments, and is attached to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital on Trichy Road, which was inaugurated in July 1909.
