What is the CUSAT CAT 2023 exam?
The CUSAT CAT exam is conducted by the Cochin University of Science and Technology. Through this examination, the students get admission into various PG programmes viz. Engineering, Environmental Studies, Humanities, Law, Marine Sciences, Medical Sciences & Technology, Science, Social Sciences and Technology. The registration for the CUSAT CAT 2023 exam ended on 16 March 2023. The admit card for the exam will be released by the authority on the website. The exam is an online computer-based test. The students who are wishing to appear for the exam, are advised to check the CUSAT syllabus and exam pattern before the preparation. The exam authority releases the CUSAT CAT result in a few days after the conclusion of the exam. Applicants declared qualified will be called for the CUSAT CAT counselling later.

Eligibilty
What is the eligibility required for the CUSAT 2023 examination?
The eligibility criteria for different courses have been given below for the students. The students who are planning to appear for the exam should check their eligibility before going for registration. If the student fails to fulfil the requirements of the exam, the student's application will get rejected and he/she will not be allowed to sit for the examination.
B.Tech CUSAT 2023 Eligibility criteria:
- The student should have qualified his/her 10+2 or equivalent from the state board of Kerala or any other board.
- The student should have Mathematics and Physics as compulsory and Chemistry as an optional subject in their Class 12 th exam.
- The student should have got at least 50% marks in Mathematics and overall 50% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry.
- The students who are applying for B.Tech Marine Engineering, the student will have to produce the physical & eye fitness test from a medical officer approved by DG Shipping at the time of admission.
- The student belonging to SEBC with non-creamy layer status of Kerala State will be considered under the reservation quota and would be required to have 45% in Mathematics alone and 45% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry.
CUSAT CAT B.A. L.L.B Eligibility Criteria:
- The student should have studied 10+2 or equivalent with at least 60% marks including languages in Science/Commerce Group or with at least 55% marks including languages in Arts/Humanities Stream
- The students who belong to the reserved categories should have at least 50% marks in their 10+2.
- The students applying for CUSAT CAT BBA LLB 2023 should not be more than 20 years (general category) and 22 years (SC/ST) category at the time of applying for the law entrance test.
CUSAT CAT L.L.B Eligibility Criteria:
- The aspirant should have got at least 50% aggregate marks in their degree.
- The aspirants belonging to the reserved categories should have secured at least 45% aggregate marks in their degree.
- There is no age limitation to appear in CUSAT CAT LLB 2023.
CUSAT CAT L.L.M Eligibility Criteria:
- The student should have at least 55% marks in their Bachelor’s degree from any University in the State of Kerala or any examination from any other University.
CUSAT CAT M.C.A. Eligibility Criteria:
- The student should have studied Mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects in their 10+2 or equivalent.
- The student should be a graduate with a degree in any of these: Electronics / Computer Science / Computer Applications / Engineering / Technology.
- The student should have got at least 55% aggregate marks in their graduation.

CUSAT CAT 2023 result:
The result of the exam is announced on the official website. The students can download the results from the website by entering the application number and password. The students are advised to save the scorecard as a copy of the scorecard will be required during the counselling process of the exam.
Documents required during CUSAT CAT 2023 counselling process:
- Class 10th mark sheet/certificate
- Class 12th mark sheet/certificate
- CUSAT CAT 2022 admit card
- Migration certificate
- Four passport-sized photographs
- CUSAT CAT 2022 application registration confirmation page
- Domicile certificate to prove keralite status
- Character/conduct certificate from the school/institution last attended (in English)
- Transfer certificate from the school/institution last attended (in English)
- Community certificate issued by Tahasildar for claiming admission under Kerala
- Community certificate and non-creamy layer certificate (issued by the competent authority for ‘SEBC’ candidates belonging to the state of Kerala). This is for the candidates who claim communal reservation while filling the application form.
- Sports certificate issued by Kerala state sports council (for claiming admission under sports quota).
- OEC certificate (issued by competent revenue authority for candidates claiming OEC status for fee concession)
- Certificate to prove scheduled caste (KSC)/Kerala scheduled tribe (KST) category
- Physically handicapped certificate (for PHC category students)
Registration & Application Process
What is the CUSAT CAT 2023 registration and admission process?
The application form for the exam is released on the official website by the authorities. The steps required during the admission process have been listed below for the students.
STEP 1 - Registration: In this step, the student will register themselves on the official website. Once the registration is done, login credentials are sent to the student's registered email id or mobile number.
STEP 2- Login: In this step, the student will log in with their credentials and open the form.
STEP 3- Filling out the Application Form: In the application form, the student will fill in the following details.

Personal details such as name, contact number, age, date of birth, gender, nationality, category, parents' details, hostel accommodation required or not, and address for communication.

Test location.

Upload a recent passport-size photograph and signature in the prescribed format.

STEP 4- Payment: After the successful completion of the application form, the student will pay the application form fees. The application form fee for CUSAT CAT 2023 is Rs. 1000/- for the general & OBC category and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST category.
