The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental of Karnataka is the conducting body of the COMEDK UGET examination. This is a state-level entrance examination for admission to over 190 engineering colleges in the state of Karnataka. As per the dates released by the authorities, this year the COMEDK UGET 2023 is going to be conducted on May 28, 2023.

What is the COMEDK-UGET 2023 exam?

The full form of the COMEDK UGET examination is COMEDK's Undergraduate entrance examination. This examination is conducted by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka. COMEDK conducts and manages the COMEDK-UGET exam. Through this exam, the students are selected for admission to engineering courses in the state of Karnataka. The autonomous institution considers the NEET score for medical and dental courses. Admission to the architecture course is given on the basis of the NATA score. Through this state-level entrance exam, students get admission into the state's engineering colleges. It is held at approximately 300 centres across the country.

Eligibilty

What is the eligibility asked in COMEDK-UGET 2023 exam?

It is very important to fulfil all the requirements of the exam otherwise the application form will be rejected. The eligibility criteria for the COMEDK-UGET 2023 exam are provided below for the students.

1) Nationality –

  • The candidate should be a citizen of India.

2) Qualification for Undergraduate Engineering Courses –

  • The student should have qualified his/her  10+2 Higher Secondary or second PUC or equivalent exam from a recognised Board or University.
  • The candidate should have obtained a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (for general candidates) and 40% (for SC/ST/OBC students of Karnataka) in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry with English as a mandatory subject.
  • Mathematics and Physics are mandatory subjects. However, the student should have Bio-Technology or Computer Science or Biology or Electronics or Chemistry as one of the optional subjects.

3) Qualification for B.Arch Courses –

  • The student should have qualified his/her 10+2 Higher Secondary or second PUC or equivalent exam from a recognised Board or University.
  • Mathematics is a compulsory subject. They should have done a 10+3 Diploma with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (for general candidates) and 45% (for SC/ST/OBC students of Karnataka).
  • Admission to the undergraduate architecture program is given on the basis of the NATA score. Candidates must take an aptitude test in 2023 for admission to B.Arch courses.

COMEDK-UGET 2023 result:

For checking the result, the student will have to go to the COMEDK website and enter his/her user ID and password. Then he/she will get his/her result on the screen. In the scorecard, the TAT (test admission ticket) number, category, DOB, registration number, stream, obtained marks etc will be given. The students should save a copy of the scorecard for future use as the results are used in the counselling and admission process.

How to check COMEDK UGET Results 2023?

The result of the COMEDK-UGET exam is released online on the official website. The students who are not familiar with the online checking process are advised to complete the same by following the stepwise directions provided below:

  1. Go to the official website i.e. comedk.org
  2. Find and click on Link for Engineering Login
  3. Log onto the portal using your registered credentials
  4. The result will be shown on the screen.
  5. In the last step, the student will download the result and save a copy of it for future use.

COMEDK-UGET 2023 counselling process:

The counselling process for the COMEDK-UGET exam is conducted online by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK). The body releases separate merit lists for the Bachelor in Engineering (BTech) and Bachelor in Architecture (BArch) programs.

The students who get shortlisted for admission can complete the application process by applying to their respective colleges. As part of the application process, the student will submit the necessary documents including his/her COMEDK admit card copy, merit list copy, Classes 10 and 12 degrees and certificates. Allotment letters are issued online. The students should download the same and report at the allotted college.

The process to download the COMEDK UGET 2023 allotment letter:

  1. Go to the official website i.e. comedk.org.
  2. Log onto the portal using your User Id or Application Number and Password.
  3. Your COMEDK UGET 2023 allotment letter will be shown on the screen.
  4. Download the Provisional Allotment Letter, if available.
  5. Take a printout for future reference.

What is the registration process for the COMEDK-UGET 2023 exam?

The application form for the exam is released online on the official website of the exam. Interested students can fill out the application form if they fulfil all the requirements of the exam. The applicants should read the general instructions carefully before filling out the application form. The applicants can follow the below-mentioned steps of the registration process.

How to fill out the application form:

The complete application form-filling procedure has been given below for the students. They can use it while going for registration for the exam.

  • Registration: In the first step, the students will register themselves on the official website of the exam ie www.comedk.org. After the registration is done, the aspirant will get a username and password on his/her registered phone number or email id.
  • Accessing Application Form: In this step, the student will log in with his/her account and enter all information like personal details, communication details and education details.
  • Upload Documents: In this step, the student will upload all the necessary documents and images in the prescribed format.
  • Selection of exam centre: In this step, the student will select any 3 exam centres of his/her choice.
  • Exam Fee Payment: The student will pay the application form fee in this step. It is important to note that the application form fee will be non-refundable.
  • Form Submission: Lastly the student will submit the form and save a copy of it for future use.
