What is the BITSAT 2023 exam?

The full form of the BITSAT exam is the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test. It is an entrance examination conducted by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS).  BITS conduct this examination every year for admissions in its three campuses situated in Pilani, Hyderabad and Goa. Through this examination, students get admission into various BE, B.Pharm and M.Sc courses offered by these institutes. Around 3 lakh students sit for this examination every year. What are the important BITSAT 2023 exam dates?

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science released the notification of the examination on 31 January 2023. The exam is conducted in two sessions. Registration for the examination has already started on the official website of the BITSAT exam. The last date for filling out the application form is April 9, 2023.

What is the exam pattern of BITSAT 2023?:

The BITSAT exam is a computer-based entrance examination. This exam is given online. The language of the examination is English. The questions in the examinations are asked from PCMB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics), English and Logical reasoning subjects. In the question paper, a total of 130 questions is asked about these subjects. The duration of the examination is 180 minutes. 

What is the eligibility required for the BITSAT 2023 examination?

The aspirants, who want to get admission to any of the BITS campuses, should first check the eligibility criteria of the examination as failing to fulfil the requirement of the exam can result in the cancellation of the application form. The detailed eligibility requirement is mentioned below for the students.

Eligibility for all programs except the B.Pharm course:

1. The candidate should have passed his/her class 12^th examination or its equivalent from a recognized board.
2. The mandatory subjects in his/her class 12^th should be PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
3. The applicant should have a minimum of 75% in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.
4. The minimum marks in each of these subjects should be 60% individually.
5. Candidates who are sitting for their class 12th exam are also eligible for BITSAT 2023 exam.

Eligibility for B.Pharm course:

1. The student should have qualified for his/her class 12^th or its equivalent exam from a recognized education board with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) subjects.
2. The minimum mark in class 12^th or its equivalent is 75%.
3. The candidate should have proficiency in English.
4. Candidates from a PCM background are also eligible for pharmacy courses.
5. 12th-class appearing students can also apply for the exam.

Admissions in any BITS institutes are given on the basis of merit secured by the student in the entrance examination.

The application process for BITSAT 2023:

The application process for BITSAT 2023 is very easy to follow. The students need to follow the following steps to complete the registration process for the examination. These steps are

1. Registration: The first step in BITSAT registration is to get your login credentials by registering yourself on the official website of BITSAT.
2. Filling out the application form: Once the registration is over, the candidate will enter his/her personal, communication and academic details in the BITSAT application form. 
3. Exam centre selection: Then the student will choose his/her three preferred exam centres.
4. Uploading of documents and images: after selecting the three exam centres, the student will have to upload scanned copies of all the necessary documents and images.
5. Application fee payment: Once all the above-mentioned steps are over, then the candidate will do the fee payment of the application form.
6. Submitting the form: In the end, the candidate is required to submit the application form. The candidate should always download the confirmation page or take a screenshot of it for future reference.
