Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC) is a central government medical college established at Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, in November 2001 under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. It was inaugurated by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on 17 December 2001, and its first batch of MBBS students was admitted in February 2002. The college building was dedicated to the nation in 2007.
