The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies is a private university in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, established through the UPES Act, 2003, of the State Legislature of Uttarakhand and set up as Asia's first energy and core sector university. It offers graduate and postgraduate programmes through seven schools: Advanced Engineering, Computer Science, Design, Law, Business, Health Sciences & Technology, and Liberal Studies and Humanities. It works from two campuses, at Bidholi and Kandoli via Premnagar.
