Saurashtra University - Rajkot

Saurashtra University is a state university at Rajkot in Gujarat, carved out of Gujarat University after the Saurashtra University Act was passed by the Gujarat legislative assembly in 1965. It was established on 23 May 1967 with headquarters at both Rajkot and Bhavnagar, and Rajkot became the sole headquarters once Bhavnagar University was formed. The campus covers 363 acres and holds 29 postgraduate departments, and its jurisdiction runs across the Amreli, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Surendranagar and Morbi districts.
