Sarojini Naidu Medical College traces its origin to 1854, when Lt.
Sarojini Naidu Medical College traces its origin to 1854, when Lt. Governor Sir James Thomson founded it as Thomson School, one of the first three medical schools in British India, to train medical assistants and doctors for the Indian Army. Upgraded to a full medical college in 1939, it was renamed after poet and freedom fighter Sarojini Naidu in 1947 and is situated in Moti Katra, Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
