It was founded in 2012 by the Badrilal Soni Charitable Trust and is promoted by the Sangam Group of Industries. Its teaching is organised into schools of engineering and technology, management studies, basic and applied science, legal studies, arts and humanities, agriculture science and technology, pharmacy, physiotherapy, nursing and vocational studies, running programmes from diploma to doctoral level.
