I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University is a state university at Kapurthala, Punjab, set up by an Act of the state legislature on 16 January 1997 to promote technical, management and pharmaceutical education at degree level and above. It opened as Punjab Technical University and was renamed in 2015 after the former Prime Minister Inder Kumar Gujral. It owns more than ten campuses across Punjab and supervises the degrees taught at its affiliated institutes.
