Panjab University - Chandigarh

Panjab University is one of the oldest universities in India, with its campus in Chandigarh, and was initiated at Lahore in 1882. Its red sandstone campus in Sectors 14 and 25 was designed by Pierre Jeanneret under the general guidance of Le Corbusier, and the university moved there during 1958-1960; it now spreads over almost 550 acres. The campus holds seventy four teaching and research departments, institutes and centres, grouped under faculties that include Arts, Science, Law, Business Management and Commerce, Engineering and Technology, Medical Sciences and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
