Mizoram University is a central university on the outskirts of Aizawl, established by Act of Parliament No. 8 of 2000 and made operational on 2 July 2001.
Mizoram University is a central university on the outskirts of Aizawl, established by Act of Parliament No. 8 of 2000 and made operational on 2 July 2001. It grew out of the Mizoram Campus of North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, which held seven postgraduate departments. It now has 39 active academic departments across 10 Schools of Study, plus 40 affiliated colleges and one constituent college, offering undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programmes.
