Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (MAHER) is a deemed university in Chennai and Kanchipuram, approved by the University Grants Commission under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 on 31 March 2004. Its constituent units include Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute and Arulmigu Meenakshi College of Nursing in Kanchipuram, Meenakshi Ammal Dental College and Hospital in Maduravoyal, Meenakshi College of Nursing in Mangadu, and faculties of humanities and science, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and yoga science at its main K.K. Nagar campus.
