Medical College, Kolkata (formerly Medical College Bengal) is a government medical college and hospital at 88 College Street, Kolkata, founded in 1835 as one of the first institutions in Asia to teach Western medicine. Its students performed India's first public human dissection in 1836, and Kadambini Ganguly, admitted in 1883, was among its earliest women students.
