Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic and Persian University - Patna

Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic and Persian University, Patna was established under the Bihar State Universities Act 1976 (as amended by Bihar Act 9 of 1992), with effect from 10 April 1998; its jurisdiction covers the whole of Bihar. It did not begin admitting students until its first academic session started on 3 July 2008, offering undergraduate courses in Arabic, Persian, Urdu and English under its Department of History, Language and Culture, and held its first convocation on 22 December 2010.
