Mahatma Gandhi University is a state university headquartered on the 110-acre Priyadarsini Hills campus at Athirampuzha, about 13 km from Kottayam, Kerala. It was established on 2 October 1983 and has jurisdiction over the districts of Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki and parts of Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate, M Phil and doctoral programmes across science, social science, humanities, engineering, technology, law, education, pharmacy and nursing.
