Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner (formerly the University of Bikaner) was established by the University of Bikaner Act, 2003, notified in the Rajasthan Gazette Extraordinary on 7 June 2003. It is a state university whose affiliating jurisdiction covers the Bikaner division: the districts of Bikaner, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh and Churu.
