Lalit Narayan Mithila University is a public university headquartered at Kameshwaranagar, Darbhanga, Bihar. It was established by ordinance in 1972 as Mithila University, carved out of colleges from Bihar University and Bhagalpur University, and was renamed after Lalit Narayan Mishra in 1980. It has 43 constituent colleges and 24 affiliated colleges spread across four districts.
