KIIT was established in Bhubaneswar in 1992 as an Industrial Training Institute with just twelve students and two faculty, founded by Achyuta Samanta.
KIIT was established in Bhubaneswar in 1992 as an Industrial Training Institute with just twelve students and two faculty, founded by Achyuta Samanta. It was conferred deemed-to-be-university status and renamed KIIT University in 2004, then renamed back to Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology in 2017.
