JIPMER is a central government medical institution in Puducherry that traces its origins to the Ecole de Medicine de Pondicherry, opened by the French government in 1823. The foundation of a new medical college on the edge of Pondicherry town was laid in 1956, its hospital was inaugurated in 1964, and Parliament made it an institution of national importance in 2008. Eligibility for NEET- PG At the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, Puducherry:

NEET-PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate) is an entrance examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations for admission to various postgraduate medical courses such as MD, MS, PG Diploma, etc. in India.

The eligibility criteria for NEET-PG admission at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research for 2024-25 are as follows:
