Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research is an autonomous research institute in Jakkur, north Bengaluru, established in 1989 by India's Department of Science and Technology to mark the birth centenary of Jawaharlal Nehru. The UGC recognised it as a Deemed University in 2002. It trains students toward Ph.D. and Master's degrees across materials science, chemistry, biology and related fields.
