Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar was established on 20 October 1995 by an Act of the Haryana Legislature and formally inaugurated on 1 November 1995. Named after the 15th-century saint-environmentalist Guru Jambheshwar Ji Maharaj, it runs programmes in science, technology, engineering, pharmacy, physiotherapy and management.
