Gujarat University - Ahmedabad

Gujarat University in Ahmedabad was incorporated in 1949 under the Gujarat University Act as a teaching and affiliating university, as part of the decentralisation and reorganisation of university education in the then Province of Bombay. Seven further universities were later carved out of its original jurisdiction, including Sardar Patel University and Saurashtra University.
