Dr. BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology or NIT Jalandhar (NITJ) is an Autonomous Institute located in Jalandhar, Punjab. The Institute was established in the year 1987 and is approved by University Grants Commission (UGC). Courses offered by NIT Jalandhar are: B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc, and Ph.D. Admission to certain courses will be done on the basis of Entrance Exams – JEE Main (for B.Tech), GATE (for M.Tech), JAM (for M.Sc).
Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar opened in 1987 as a Regional Engineering College and was given the status of a National Institute of Technology by the Government of India on 17 October 2002. It teaches engineering, technology and the sciences, running BTech, MTech, MSc, MBA and PhD programmes, and industrial recruiters visit the campus to hire final-year students as engineers and management trainees.
