Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University is the state technical university at Newai, near the Bhilai township in Durg district.
Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University is the state technical university at Newai, near the Bhilai township in Durg district. It was created by act No. 25 of 2004 of the Chhattisgarh state assembly, notified on 21 January 2005, and was inaugurated on 30 April 2005 by the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. It teaches engineering and technological subjects, including architecture and pharmacy, at diploma, degree, postgraduate and research level. Its permanent campus covers 250 acres.
