Central University of Tamil Nadu is a central university set up by the Government of India in 2009, on a campus at Neelakudi about seven kilometres north-west of Thiruvarur in Tamil Nadu. It teaches through 13 schools and 28 departments covering basic and applied sciences, mathematics and computer sciences, life and integrative biology, earth sciences, commerce and business management, technology, legal studies, education and training, communication, behavioural sciences, social sciences and humanities, and the performing and fine arts.
