BLDE University - Bijapur

BLDE (Deemed to be University) is a health sciences university at Vijayapura, Karnataka, which came into existence on 29 February 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. Its constituent Shri B. M. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre was established in 1986 by the BLDE Association and has a teaching hospital on a unitary campus. The university teaches MBBS along with MD, MS, M.Sc. Medical, DM and M.Ch programmes, and also runs schools of allied health science, physiotherapy, applied science and technology, and law.
