Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi

Birsa Agricultural University is a state government university at Kanke in Ranchi, Jharkhand, established on 26 June 1981 to build agricultural teaching, research and extension for the plateau region. It works through faculties of agriculture, veterinary science and animal husbandry, and forestry, with colleges at Ranchi, Deoghar, Garhwa, Godda, Hansdiha in Dumka, Gumla and West Singhbhum, alongside a College of Biotechnology, a centre for agri-business management, zonal research stations and Krishi Vigyan Kendras.
