Barkatullah University - Bhopal

Barkatullah Vishwavidyalaya, in Bhopal, opened in 1970 as Bhopal University and was renamed in 1988 after Prof. Barkatullah, the freedom fighter from the city. Its campus of about 400 acres lies along the Hoshangabad road, a few kilometres from Rani Kamlapati railway station. It teaches through its own departments and its affiliated colleges in arts, social science, science, life science, engineering, law, commerce, education, physical education, technology, home science and management, and its jurisdiction covers eight districts.
