Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University - Lucknow

Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University is a central university at Vidya Vihar on Raebareli Road in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. It was created by an Act of Parliament, No. 58 of 1994, and came into existence on 10 January 1996. Named after B. R. Ambedkar, it works to the principles of social justice and equity he stood for and draws students from Uttar Pradesh and other states. It teaches graduate and postgraduate programmes across humanities and sciences, engineering, agriculture, biotechnology, business, law, education and environmental sciences.
