Baba Farid University of Health Sciences - Faridkot

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences is a state health sciences university at Faridkot in Punjab, set up in July 1998 by an Act of the Punjab legislature and named after the Sufi saint Baba Farid. It teaches and affiliates colleges through four faculties, in medical sciences, dental sciences, nursing sciences and physiotherapy. It was the fifth university of its kind in India and the first in northern India, and states its purpose as building an environment in which health professionals, planners, managers, biomedical and social scientists and educators can exchange ideas.
