Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi Vishwavidyalaya is a state university in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, founded on 19 December 2011 by Madhya Pradesh Act No. 34 of 2011, which took effect on 21 December 2011. It is named after the former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and was created to make Hindi the medium of teaching, training and research across every branch of knowledge, including science, literature and the arts. Its campus is at Mungaliya Kot, Sukhi Sevaniya, on the Vidisha Road outside Bhopal.
