Assam Agricultural University - Jorhat

Assam Agricultural University is a state agricultural university headquartered at Jorhat in Assam. It grew out of the Assam Agricultural College, set up at Jorhat in 1948, and the Assam Veterinary College, set up at Nagaon the same year, and was itself established on 1 April 1969. It has six faculties covering agriculture, veterinary science, community science, fishery, horticulture and sericulture, taught across nine constituent colleges, and runs postgraduate teaching, research and farm extension work across the state.
